Where folklore meets politics
As a bilingual Eastern European artist working in the UK, I bring a new perspective on cultural heritage to the Western World at a time of unrest. I make paintings and multisensory immersive installations which allow audiences to engage in traditional craft together, connecting and sharing their stories. My main focus is on traditional craft and ritual, their ability to embody cultural values and create spaces for self-reflection. My work is an attempt to connect audiences and creatives despite the current political circumstances.
